Chief Executive, BRITDOC Foundation

Jess Search is the Chief Executive of BRITDOC Foundation (britdoc.org), an independent organisation co-founded with Channel 4 in the UK with an expertise in new funding and distribution models for documentary.    The foundation specialises in popular feature docs made by British directors and seen by audiences all over the world in cinemas, on DVD, TV, online and mobile.  In the last 5 years the Foundation has been nominated for an Academy Award, won the Audience Awards at Sundance, Tribeca, Berlin and Edinburgh Film Festivals, 4 Grierson awards (the top UK Documentary award) and a BAFTA to name the biggest prizes. Previously Jess was a Channel 4 commissioning editor for 5 years and co-founded Shooting People the online network for filmmakers. She has an MBA from Cass Business School.
